FORUM TO HELP WITH YOUTH VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES IN LEICESTERSHIRE & RUTLAND
An informative and practical forum about the sharing, developing & promotion of youth volunteering opportunities is to be held for anyone in Leicestershire and Rutland working with young volunteers, providing volunteering opportunities, or interested in developing or supporting youth volunteering in their own organisation, group or club. The ‘Youth Volunteering Forum’ is being organised by the Leicestershire and Rutland vinvolved team, part of v, the national youth volunteering charity that promotes youth volunteering and works with groups & organisations to develop volunteering opportunities and youth-led action for 16-25 year olds. Anyone who works with young people, involves them in volunteering opportunities, or wants to develop or support youth volunteering opportunities, whether short-term, part-time or full-time, are encouraged to get in touch. You can hear about what’s going on locally and keep up-to-date with latest developments; find out what’s needed legally and practically; as well as getting advice, help and support in developing or promoting your own youth volunteering opportunities. The forum will take place on WEDNESDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2010, 10am-1pm, in Leicester City Centre.
